cars rarely get produced as scale
model kits. Experimental cars publicly displayed that can move
under their own power are rare. The widely exhibited Lincoln
Futura was a notable exception. Debbie Reynolds and Glenn
Ford rode in the Lincoln Futura
in the 1959 MGM film It Started with a Kiss directed
by George Marshall. The Futura even appeared on The Ed Sullivan
Show. By the mid sixties it had been transformed into the Batmobile
on the Batman TV show. |
