During the months that the Studebaker
Avanti was in production, many manufacturers of related merchandise
benefited from associated advertising. These included Champion
Spark Plugs, Valvoline Motor
Oil, Gabriel Shock Absorbers,
Molded Fiber Glass Body Company,
Ross Gear and Tool Company, US Borax
( of 20 mule team fame), Sears,
and Mobil Oil. Levi Strauss used the Avanti in an ad to promote
their slacks made from Avril Rayon. The ad calls the Avanti
"an aero-dynamic wedge designed to defy the wind."
