The Lamborghini cars were introduced in
the same years as the Studebaker Avanti. The Lamborghini 350
GTV (a prototype show car not a production vehicle) was introduced
to the public at the 1963 Turin Motor Show. It was styled
by Franco Scaglione and built at Carrozzeria Sargiotto in
Turin. The 350 GT was the first production car Lamborghini.
Based on the 350 GTV show car, it was designed by Carrozzeria
Touring and introduced at the 1964 Auto Salon of Geneva.
