Fountain Valley Classic
Car & Truck Show |
The city of Fountain
Valley is hosting its annual Classic Car & Truck Show on
Saturday, June 7, 2008 – The event will take place at
the Recreation Center, Fountain Valley, California. The event
is open to all pre- 1975 cars and trucks, a pancake breakfast
will be provided by the Kiwanis Club, while a Bar-B-Que lunch
will be made available by the award winning Richard Jones Pit
BBQ. Vendors row will be filled with interesting merchandise
and information. Goodie bags will be distributed to the first
350 cars entered. Dash plaques for all registered entrants.
Awards will be presented starting at 2:00 p.m. Special raffles;
Chevrolet 350 Crate Motor, $5.00 donation ticket; Custom Pedal
Car, $1.00 donation ticket. Numerous other raffles for some
very interesting items. Our Special Guest will be the legendary
Hall of Fame drag racer Mr. Tom "Mongoose" McEwen
who will be signing autographs. The Yeakel Plymouth Special
will be at the show. 1950-60's music will be enjoyed by all
throughout the day. A great way to spend the day at the park.

Friday, October 28th,2005 opened a three day celebration.
Reception on Saturday evening October 29th included dancing
and entertainment. The building Dedication Ceremony took
place on Sunday, October 30th at 1:00 p.m. and a Community
Open House was held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. |

Ghost Story |
| Large-scale multimedia production
that dramatically depicts the 1963 closing of Studebaker,
as an event foreshadowing later plant closings in communities
across America. The former Deluxe Sheet Metal Factory
in downtown South Bend will be transformed using screens,
video projections and objects, to look and feel like the
old Studebaker factories. |

A 1940s style garage
housing a unique collection of 50 motor vehicles. Many unusual
vehicles including a good selection of Micro cars such as Goggomobil,
BMW Isetta, Messerschmitt and a Suzuki Concept vehicle, as well
as an electric Enfield, an Australian built Zeta, an AC Acedes
Invalid tricycle and several unusual Studebakers including the
Avanti. A small folk museum displays household antiquities,
beer and bottle collection, sewing machines, radios etc. Facilities:
